Welcome to our news page. We have quite a good start to the year. We have had 18 calves from our new bull Gastonwood Mr. Lextin and all cows have calved without trouble one of them having twin girls. This year we only have one foal. A lovely colt from Merrie Martlet by Merrie Masterpiece.
Merrie Motivator is happily running out with some mares, whilst M. Madhatter is having a busy year competing.
Two ponies have gone to lovely new homes.
I am still learning how to run this website, so more news and pictures will be added as I get more proficient.
Very successful day at the NFPB&CS Show on Bank Holiday Monday. Merrie Martlet won the large Novice Brood mare class and the Merrie Cup The first time in 50 years we have won it with a Merrie pony. We won it in 1973, but with a Lawnhill prefix. Merrie Mischka (by Madhatter) was 2nd in a strong 2 yr filly class. This was the first time these ponies had had been to a show. So we were really pleased.
